This role supports provides independent support to Operational Risk & Compliance activities undertaken within Line 1 Money. It ensures Money Business Operations and Risk management align with frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetites.
The role collaborates with department heads to manage risk through controls and key risk indicators, operating within organisational appetites.
Let's look at some key responsibilities: Controls– Design, review and monitor effective key and non-key controls effectively for risk mitigation within Money.Undertake frequent assessments on control portfolio effectiveness outside of the RCSA periods.Analyse available risk metrics such as defects or monitoring activity outcomes and undertake impact on risk and control performance.Coordinates stakeholders on the effective design and delivery of controls aligned to risk appetite, internal policies, standards, and responsibilities.Collaborate and execute plans with stakeholders to bring unsatisfactory rated controls and/or out of appetite risks back to satisfactory and within tolerance for Money portfolio.Quality Assurance Reviews: support and assistance in reviewing.File Monitoring: Review processed applications/ files across the Origination teams ensuring adherence to AML/CTF and Responsible Lending regulatory requirements.Call monitoring: listening to recorded phone calls to assess agent performance against established internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.Training Support: Assist in the development and delivery of training materials to enhance agent skills and knowledge of the originations process.
Ideally, we're looking for the following: Minimum 2 years previous experience working in an Audit/Review or Compliance is highly desirable.Controls assurance – experience in assessing control effectiveness including effective design creation and testing.Solid risk and assurance background with a clear understanding of risk management, assurance, and compliance principles, preferably in a financial services company.Strong awareness and understanding of Australian Responsible Lending compliance and regulatory requirements, and New Zealand CCCFA compliance and regulatory requirements.Tertiary qualification, or related further education in highly desirable.
