Mars Recruitment is collaborating with a globally recognised, APRA-licensed provider to find a Risk and Compliance Advisor on a permanent basis at their Sydney based offices. Reporting to the Risk & Compliance Manager, the Advisor will be overseeing a diverse range of risk and compliance functions as part of the independent second line of defence.

Role and responsibilities: Contribute to the upkeep of the risk management framework, including policies, reporting, risk registers, and training logs.Assists in maintaining Compliance Framework and quality assurance activities.Administers the GRC system, ensuring quality control and timely completion of activities.Prepares GRC reports for enterprise risk management, Management Risk Committee, and Board Risk Committee, analysing trends and data.Manages risk and compliance tasks across the business, advising first-line stakeholders and providing necessary training.Supports the Risk & Compliance Manager in internal sanctions screening and handling exceptions.Works with the CRO and Risk & Compliance team on key initiatives and planning.Must have at least 5 years of experience working with risk or compliance frameworks in APRA-regulated industries, such as banking or insurance.Proven experience in developing and managing risk management and compliance frameworks within the financial services industry.Ideally come from an Operational Risk background with an in-depth knowledge of APRA prudential standards.Undergraduate degree in law, commerce, accounting or a similar discipline or experience.Be a motivated and driven individual.For more information or to apply, please feel free to contact me directly at ******
