Their policy is to maintain a focus on these customer requirements while recognising and responding to the needs of their employees, shareholders, and the community.The success of The Golden Cockerel Group is based on the positive contribution of all who have a stake in its operation and their ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.The Position :As the National Sales and Export Manager, you will manage all aspects of the sales and marketing function of the business.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will have overall responsibility for ensuring the forecast and sales targets are met while growing the profitability of the business and maintaining a satisfactory level of customer satisfaction.Golden Cockerel is proud of the relationships they have built over the years with their customers and stakeholders.
Your energy and experience will see you develop these relationships, uncovering potential growth segments, customer leads, and potential expansion opportunities.
Ensuring the sales systems prioritise customer service, growth, and improved profitability through delivering on customer satisfaction.Your leadership skills will be utilised every day in this role.
You will lead three teams: business development, customer service, and product development, totalling approximately 10 staff.
You will establish sales goals for the two sites with the objective of exceeding organic growth.
You will provide leadership and support to the sales and customer service teams and work closely with the product development team on all new product initiatives.As the National Sales and Export Manager, you will work closely with senior operations staff to plan and manage production targets and stock levels in line with customer demand.The Person :We are keen to hear from you if you have the background, key skills, and attributes:Minimum 10 years' experience in a sales and marketing role, with years spent in FMCG, food manufacturing, or agriculture being highly regarded.Exposure to the poultry or meat industry is highly advantageous.Proven senior level experience managing teams in sales, account management, and customer service.Experience servicing major Australian retailers.Proven people leadership qualities of coaching and developing key personnel to develop an environment where high-performance teams can flourish.Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and work in a cross-functional environment as a collaborative team player.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally.High level leadership capability to execute and deliver results within budget and on time in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.Ability to contribute and add value at the Senior Leadership level across the business.Excellent computer literacy as well as appropriate tertiary qualifications in operations/manufacturing or related, considered essential.This is a rare and exciting opportunity in the FMCG processing sector where you will have the opportunity to contribute at the Senior Executive level in one of the industry's leading independent businesses.Golden Cockerel is a family-owned and run business with over 50 years of history.
