We are currently looking for experienced, Australian-based Rig Electricians and Rig Mechanics / Heavy Diesel Mechanics familiar with Oil & Gas drilling rigs to join our workforce in either a contract or permanent capacity.
RIG ELECTRICIAN:To be considered for a Rig Electrician role, the successful applicant must possess the following attributes/tickets:
EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas)Electrical trade certificateState Electrical licenses and/or willingness to obtainValid working rights in AustraliaWilling to work FIFO RostersExperience in the Oil & Gas industry highly regardedRig Electrician duties include:
Fault diagnosis: the extent of repairs, liaise with a designated person for action, disassemble units and components for further investigationDemonstrate knowledge of electrical systems such as general, PLC, and hazardous area compliance competencyEnsure the preventative maintenance program for all drilling plant, top drives, pumps, hydraulics, generators, motors, vehicles, and equipment is carried out in accordance with the maintenance scheduleHave a good sound background with current drilling rig operations including campsActively participate in using methods to reduce operational risk.RIG MECHANIC:To be considered for a Rig Mechanic role, it is preferred you have experience with:
Caterpillar & Detroit EnginesPLC / Hydraulics4 x 4 VehiclesCentrifugal PumpsHydraulic systems open & closed loopPneumatic systemsRig Mechanics must meet the below criteria:
Hold a Mechanical Trade Certificate (Diesel)Full working rights in AustraliaOpen Manual Drivers LicenceRig Mechanic responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ensuring that all operation of machinery, mechanical and drilling equipment is carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with the manufacturers' specificationsDiagnosing faults, servicing, and carrying out necessary repairs on air compressors, pumps, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, drilling equipment, and diesel enginesRepairing and maintaining all vital machinery aboard the rig, including machinery involved in drilling operationsEnsure that all fuels, lubricants, gases, paints, and any hazardous materials are correctly stored and handled at the rig site and campsiteLiaise with the Rig Manager, Driller, and Electrician to schedule maintenance of rig equipmentIf you feel you meet the above requirements, we look forward to hearing from you.
