EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST Ride Mechanical Leading Hand Full Time $56.89 Flex Agreement (Rolling Roster) Movie World, Oxenford, Gold Coast The Opportunity:
Assist in supervising the Maintenance team members. Provide technical support for rides, attractions, plant and equipment. Organise administration and maintenance of repairs.
Your day to day:
• Ensure Tradespersons are scheduled to complete tasks and department is running to maximize efficiency
• Organise the shift roster to ensure suitable coverage
• Organise PM inspections and maintenance and coordinate repairs
• Actively look for ways to improve current processes and procedures
• Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner
• Oversee minimum stock levels for rides, attractions and equipment
• Raise purchase requisitions and goods receipt purchase orders
What you'll bring:
• Previous experience in the supervision of staff
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills
• A minimum engineering mechanical trade level certificate or similar
• Experience in breakdown maintenance and diagnostics
• Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Strong safety focus and sound understanding of OH&S requirements
• Strong focus on Quality Control
• Demonstrated high level of initiative, self-motivation and have the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Sound knowledge of rides and attractions & VRTP maintenance procedures/policies
• EWP and fork lift licences would be beneficial
• Knowledge of SAP and Maximo is highly desirable
• Available to work on a rotating roster, including day shift, weekend and afternoon shift (subject to any future changes).
• Physical fitness to enable the climbing of ladders and stairs and be comfortable working at heights
