Pay rate: $850 - $950 / day incl. superannuation

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with expertise in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analysing business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and integrating GIS solutions to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements related to spatial data analysis and GIS applications. Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, systems, and data flows to identify areas for optimization and enhancement. Develop comprehensive business requirements documents, user stories, and functional specifications for GIS-related projects. Work closely with GIS specialists, developers, and other cross-functional teams to design and implement GIS solutions that align with business objectives. Perform data analysis and manipulation using GIS software to extract insights, visualize spatial patterns, and support decision-making. Provide training and support to end users on GIS tools, applications, and best practices. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in GIS and business analysis. Qualifications: Strong proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms. Solid understanding of spatial data concepts, cartography, and GIS data formats. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical GIS solutions.
