Richardson Marine, a leader in marine and fishing sales and service, is seeking a highly organised and motivated Service Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Situated in Warrnambool, Victoria, we offer a modern and inclusive work environment, providing flexibility and a close-knit team atmosphere fueled by a shared passion for fishing, boating, and the marine industry.
Role Overview: As the Service Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising our marine workshop operations. Your responsibilities will encompass scheduling and coordinating service appointments, overseeing technician assignment, managing inventory, ensuring quality control, and serving as a key point of contact for customer interactions. You will supervise the fit-out, fabrication, and mechanical aspects of the workshop, ensuring seamless service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently schedule and coordinate service jobs, balancing workloads and technician assignments.
- Manage workshop inventory and ensure availability of necessary parts and materials.
- Conduct quality control to uphold high service standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, technicians, and other stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service.
- Oversee the fit-out, fabrication, and mechanical branches, ensuring smooth operation and timely completion of tasks.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in workshop environments (automotive or marine) is advantageous, particularly in supervisory or management roles.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven customer service expertise with the ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks.
- A background in marine industry services, including outboard motors and boats, is beneficial but not essential.
- Richardson Marine provides comprehensive training for all new employees, so prior specific experience is not required.

- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients, dealers, and staff at all times.
- Respond promptly to calls and emails, ensuring customers are consistently informed and satisfied.
- Demonstrate exceptional ability to manage a busy workshop, continuously seeking improvements and efficiencies.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our service offerings to accurately assign technicians and meet client needs effectively.
