Cornish College is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and experienced Learning Assistant to our Inclusive Education department.
The role of Learning Assistant involves the exciting opportunity to work in Cornish College's Inclusion Education Department, as part of a focused and enthusiastic team providing support for secondary students with additional needs.
This position is 8.30am to 3.35pm, 5 days per week (0.855FTE) term time only.
Roles and Responsibilities: Providing support to teachers by assisting students with their learning.Working supportively with teachers in achieving the goals outlined in Individual Learning Plans.Recording information regarding the activities and progress of students' learning.Liaising with classroom teachers and Individual Inclusion staff to plan learning engagements for students who require additional support.Providing assistance to students with routine school tasks and assisting with their organisational skills.Communicating progress and observations regarding students to the class teacher and Inclusion Education staff.Qualifications: Applicants should have appropriate qualifications and experience in assisting students with learning difficulties.
All general support staff at Cornish College must hold a current Working with Children's Check for employment purposes and, at the time of employment, are required to provide a current Police Check.
