Reporting to the Vice President : Group Reward and Global Mobility, the Reward Manager - Operations will be responsible for leading a global team of operational reward specialists to support the delivery of broad remuneration and benefits activities across 6 countries.
Broadly, these activities will include job evaluation, governance of the job level framework, management of the annual reward review cycle, contribution to functional and annual increase budget preparation, participating in and/or leading the delivery of keystone reward projects, and the management of local benefits programs.
In collaboration with the Group Reward leadership team, this role is also responsible for leading the assessment, improvement, and maintenance of consistent, modernised reward practices across the Group.

About the role: Lead and develop a team of globally positioned reward specialists to deliver business critical reward advice, activities, analysis, and continued practice improvements
Support the development of market leading gender equity pay assessment, management practices and cyclic activities
Manage the maintenance of the job level framework and job evaluation activities globally to ensure consistency of job grading and remuneration practices across the business
Review and monitor internal salary trends and ensure close alignment with market movement
Review, propose amendments, and implement globally applicable group remuneration and benefits policies
Lead the delivery of the Annual Remuneration Review Cycle across the Group, including contributing economic and market insights to inform the annual remuneration review strategy, and driving strong integrity of HR master data
Remain cognisant of modern practices, trends, and legislative changes in order to deliver pragmatic and comprehensive advice to the Senior Management, and inform development of Remuneration and Benefit project requirements
Support submission of board papers, including required modelling, preparing and reviewing as required
About you: Tertiary qualification in Business or related discipline essential
Extensive experience in remuneration and benefits management and administration
Experience managing the complexities of multi-jurisdictional reward and benefits mechanisms
Demonstrated leadership capability, leading a team of reward specialists while anticipating and balancing the needs of all stakeholders
Mining and metals industry experience in a medium to large multinational publicly listed enterprise
Proficiency in administering and maintaining comprehensive remuneration frameworks tailored to the needs of international mining companies
Demonstrated experience in advising senior leaders and managers on remuneration matters, particularly in the areas of fixed pay policy, short-term incentive schemes, and long-term incentive schemes
Experience establishing benefits plans in multiple countries
JSE & NYSE exposure preferable but not essential
