APS Level 4 ($77,558 - $82,945)
APS Level 5 ($85,633 - $91,549)
Employment Type: Ongoing & Non-ongoing (For a period of up to 12 months)
This role is being advertised as both ongoing and non-ongoing, with the employment type to be determined in negotiation with the preferred candidate and the NIAA delegate.
Where a non-ongoing specified term is offered, this would be for an initial period of up to 12 months, with possibility of extension up to a maximum period of two years.
A non-ongoing offer may result in conversion to an ongoing offer of employment, however this must occur within 18 months from the opening date of this advertisement.
Flexible Work:
Flexible working arrangements will be considered.

People Branch support a diverse and geographically dispersed Agency, with an on the ground presence in every Australian state and territory.
We work in partnership to deliver our services and require people that are resilient, flexible and able to work as a team to design and implement new ideas and ways of working that address the unique needs of individuals and communities across Australia.
To be successful, you will demonstrate either technical experience and have knowledge of relevant employment frameworks and legislation in your area/s of HR professional expertise or the ability to quickly develop these skills.
You will need to be comfortable with influencing and negotiating, interpreting policy and be skilled at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Identify and escalate key issues with solutions for how to resolveCollaborating and developing innovative strategies and approachesCapability to provide input into strategic HR workBe able to provide advice on HR matters of a moderate complexitySharing knowledge, supporting and guiding othersIdentified Position:
This position is Identified which signifies that the role has strong involvement in matters relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This position is required to liaise with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and service providers.
You will require cultural competency.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to be assessed through our pre-employment screening checks, such as an Australian Criminal History Check.
