2021 Society for Ecological Restoration Australasia (SERA) Awards for Excellence in Ecological Restoration - High Commendation2020 Revegetation Industry Association of WA (RIAWA) Awards for Excellence – Winner Small Project2016 – 2020 Urban Development Institute of WA (UDIAWA) Awards for Excellence – Winner 5 awards in multiple categories.Main Activities and ResponsibilitiesField Team Leader Co-ordinating and directing the tasks of field personnel, predominantly but not limited to; native seed collection, planting and weed control.Having responsibility for field activity quality control.Ensuring that internal standards and HS&E legislation are met, with safety given paramount importance.Working closely with project managers to understand and deliver project scope.Tracking progress, productivity, and timesheets through templates, registers, databases, and GIS.Training and mentoring field technicians.Other duties including but not limited to: revegetation monitoring, site maintenance, equipment maintenance, site preparation, seed processing, seed testing, and herbarium development.Project Manager Manage and oversee the concurrent delivery of 10 -20 projects by:
Consulting in project scoping, planning, design, and budgetingPreparation of a variety of management plans (i.e.
revegetation, weed, wetland) and reports (site capability assessment, monitoring, post-activity, compliance, etc.
)Preparation of proposals and responding to tenders and client enquiriesBriefing and assisting field teams in project implementation, including hands-on participation in activitiesEnsuring that internal standards and HS&E legislation are met, with safety given paramount importanceLiaison with clients, Government authorities, and other stakeholdersMapping and GIS.Education & QualificationsTertiary qualification or similar in related environmental field, andCurrent driver's license required.Experience and CredentialsIdeally two years' or more experience in leading field teams and/or project management and consulting within the environmental fieldProven self-motivated and self-disciplined leaderA highly organised approach and attention to detailExcellent interpersonal management and communication skills (written and verbal)A focus on safety and delivering quality client outcomes.Our ideal candidates will have a solid understanding of the issues commonly faced in rehabilitating the natural environment, gained through practical field and project management experience.
They will also be self-confident individuals that understand their role within a team, being able to provide both leadership and support as required.
