The Role & Responsibilities:
As an Operations Services Manager, you will lead and manage the delivery of municipal and community services in remote locations, ensuring operational excellence, delivering impactful outcomes, and fostering community connections. This hands-on leadership role requires adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact in diverse settings. Positions available across several communities, from vibrant cultural landscapes to serene remote island settings.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the delivery of municipal and community services, including waste management, community events, and night patrols. Mentoring and developing a diverse team, fostering professional growth and strong workplace culture. Building partnerships with local schools, health clinics, and other organisations to enhance community outcomes. Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and managing the financial budgets effectively. Promoting environmental sustainability and adhering to best practices. Coordinating resources to meet the dynamic needs of the community. Presence in the community inspecting public spaces and driving improvement initiatives. What You Will Bring:
Leadership experience in either operations and/or municipal services. Hands on leadership style and capability to lead by example. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively in cross-cultural environments. Practical skills in stakeholder management and relationship building. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring and motivating diverse teams. Strong problem-solving abilities and time management.
