About the Role

We are seeking passionate and committed retail managers, whether individuals or couples, to lead thriving supermarket operations in Indigenous communities across Far North Queensland and the Northern Territory.
You will become the heartbeat of these communities, playing a key role in shaping their social and economic development while experiencing a side of Australia that few ever get to see.

Lead the day-to-day operations of the supermarket, ensuring efficient and successful store management Mentor, train, and develop local team members to build skills and capacity within the community Oversee inventory management, stock levels, and supply orders to maintain store performance Drive excellent customer service standards, fostering strong relationships with community members Collaborate with local leaders to support community initiatives and programs Ensure compliance with safety, health, and hygiene regulations at all times What you'll Need:
Proven experience in retail management, ideally within supermarket, big box, or high-volume retail environments Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate teams Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to oversee day-to-day store operations Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and meeting sales targets Openness and adaptability to living and working in remote locations Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive community and team relationships Previous experience working within Indigenous or remote communities is highly desirable but not essential Why This Role?
