We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Retail Manager to lead and optimize our e-commerce website which is about to launch and will be a very busy site. This role involves hands-on management of our Shopify backend, product listings, and customer engagement, ensuring smooth, efficient service for both customers and suppliers. The ideal candidate is a reliable professional with a strong understanding of e-commerce, who can juggle day-to-day operations with strategic planning to enhance sales and customer satisfaction. You will head a team which will eventually be Australia wide.

Key Responsibilities - E-commerce Management: Oversee the Shopify backend, manage product listings, inventory updates, and promotions, and ensure the website is functional, visually appealing, and customer-friendly.
-Backend Website Support and Development: Assist in building and maintaining the website's backend, including troubleshooting, implementing updates, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Collaborate with developers to optimize functionality and manage integrations on the platform.
- Website Updates: Regularly upload new products, update content, and manage website functionalities to keep the site current and engaging.
- Order Follow-Up: Track customer orders from purchase to delivery, promptly handling any inquiries or issues.
- Customer Advisory: Provide knowledgeable advice to customers on product features and uses, ensuring a positive and informative shopping experience.
- Supplier Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for suppliers, negotiating terms and managing stock levels.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, financial transactions, and sales trends.
- Budget Management: Oversee budget allocations, managing resources efficiently and tracking financial performance.
- Sales Analytics: Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and drive sales growth.
-Team Leadership and Development: Lead, motivate, and manage a team to ensure productivity and alignment with company goals. Provide training, set clear performance expectations, and conduct regular check-ins to support team growth and success.
Required Skills and Qualifications - E-commerce Proficiency: Proven experience with Shopify; experience in other e-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Organization and Deadline Management: Well-organized with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Excellent Communication: Native-level English proficiency; effective communicator with strong customer service skills for handling supplier and customer interactions.
- Reliability and Integrity: Dependable and trustworthy with a commitment to high standards and honesty.
- Budget and Financial Acumen: Ability to manage budgets, track financial metrics, and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Knowledge - Product and Market Knowledge: Familiarity with renovation products and an understanding of customer needs within this niche is advantageous.
- Analytics and Reporting: Competence with e-commerce analytics and reporting tools to track KPIs and suggest improvements for customer experience and sales.
