About the Role If you love fashion and are looking to broaden your career in Finance then we have the job for you!At the Just Group we pride ourselves on our people driving the ongoing success of our business and we are proud of all our brands - Peter Alexander, Smiggle, Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Portmans, Dotti and Jacqui E.  Our store network spans across six markets (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland) and is supported by local and centralised teams with our Support Office and our national Distribution Centre (DC) based in Melbourne.We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our respected and high performing Retail Finance team in the capacity of a Retail Assistant Accountant in our Inner Melbourne office.Reporting to the General Manager Finance - Retail, this role supports the Retail Finance team in the delivery of month end, budgets and projections and maintaining high levels of financial governance across the business.Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Preparation of month-end journals across areas such as accruals and Store expenses Preparation of monthly reconciliations Assist with budgeting and forecasting Preparation and review of store and cost centre trackers Purchases order and Invoice reconciliation Continuously improve procedures, systems and activities to help drive efficiency improvements across the team About You To be considered for this role you will have: Tertiary education in Accounting or 1-2 years' experience in a similar role Retail experience an advantage but not essential A strong practical knowledge of accounting systems, including Excel and experience with the FMCG / Retail sector is an advantage Great communication skills Enjoy working in a fast paced environment and continually looks for opportunities to improve and grow Perks Generous discount to be used across all of our 7 brands, and access to our sample sales across all brands Development opportunities to support your ongoing growth and development Experience working for an international company with 7 iconic Australian brands Above all, we are looking for someone who is keen to learn with an engaged and collaborative retail finance team.If this sounds like the role for you then apply now!
