Restaurant Manager / Chef

Details of the offer

- Ensuring that the restaurant is functioning smoothly from opening to closing.
- Managing inventory and quality control.
- Ensuring health, safety, and facility maintenance.
- Addressing customer complaints, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Interviewing, hiring, and training new employees.
- Creating work schedules that meet business needs while managing labor costs.
- Conducting staff evaluations, providing feedback, and managing disciplinary actions if necessary.
- Managing the restaurant's online presence, including social media and review sites.
- Maintaining accurate records of sales, inventory, staff performance, and other key metrics.
- Ensuring the restaurant complies with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Motivating and leading the team to achieve business goals.
- Handling emergencies, such as equipment failures or staff shortages, effectively.
For Chef:

Preparing ingredients (vegetables, seafood, meats, rice, soups, garnishes, etc.)
Handling all soup menus and assisting other sections if necessary.
Making sauces and seasoning food.
Cooking the menu when orders are received.
Placing food on plates and making sure it looks good and clean.
Checking and ordering stock and ensuring all food products are fresh and usable.
Ensuring the hygiene of kitchen equipment/tools/appliances.
Training cooks/junior chefs and providing induction training to new staff.
Being responsible for all matters in the kitchen.
Discussing seasonal specials, weekly specials, and new menu items with the Head Chef.

General Manager:

Devote full working hours to the requirements of the role.
Exercise all reasonable skills, care, and diligence in the performance of duties.
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with recognized standards consistent with training, experience, and professional status.
Promote the interests of the company and not do anything which may adversely affect the reputation or goodwill of the company.
Comply with the company's policies and procedures, together with all lawful directions given by the company and all legislative requirements.
