You will be responsible for providing individualised and holistic care, meeting the client's needs and upholding quality of services aligned with the organisational standards. Additionally, you will be accountable and responsible for the financial management and achievement of the business plan for the site.
Your ResponsibilitiesSite strategy: Assisting with the development, monitoring and implementation of the business plan for the site.Resident care: Ensuring residents care needs are assessed in a holistic manner and plans of care appropriate to their needs are developed and implemented in consultation with the resident and their representative.Asset and site management: Overseeing and monitoring ongoing reactive and preventative maintenance requirements for the site.Management of administrative aspects of the site including accurate record keeping and providing regular and timely statistical data on facility demographics.Continuous improvement and planning.Financial management: Ensuring cost effective performance as well as maintaining and monitoring of Occupancy rates.Legislative compliance and continuous improvement: Ensuring clinical policies/guidelines are in place within the facility as well as ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Act.People and performance management: Regular communication of individual and team goals through staff appraisals and other formal or informal meetings.Development and maintaining of a safe and secure environment: Ensuring compliance with all Workplace Health & Safety instructions.What will you bring to the role?A current APHRA registration as a Registered Nurse (desirable).Demonstrated experience in the management of a Residential Aged Care Facility.Strong knowledge of operating requirements within the Health/Aged Care Industry.Ability to conduct care minutes assessments and associated financial analysis.Knowledge of legislative and operating requirements within the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.Strong experience in budget implementation and monitoring.Demonstrated asset and site management experience.Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.Highly developed communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the elderly, families, staff and management.Strong time management skills.Who is Southern Cross Care Queensland?Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago.
