WHO YOU ARE
We're on the lookout for a motivated individual to join our ResLife Team at ANU on a fixed term full time basis, as Residential Life Manager until 31/12/2025 (approx.).
You are a natural at building connections and committed to delivering a high quality and enriched educational, cultural, and social experience for residents.
You will be enthusiastic and creative in your event planning and will need to understand the many complexities to university life and operational aspects of residential living.
The life of a student has its ups and its downs; and our Res Life team play a key role in enhancing the student engagement of the residential community with a particular emphasis on pastoral care and academic matters.
Your leadership skills will help to support the growth and ongoing development of your team, and will empower them to champion fostering a safe, secure and healthy living environment for all students.

This role will suit individuals with a background in student accommodation, university services or pastoral care, teamed with strong customer focus and interest in student welfare and enhancing the university experience.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities as Residential Life Manager will include but not be limited to:
Provide leadership and support in the management and development of the pastoral care programs and academic support within the University of Sydney Portfolio.
Management, develop, and implement events and activities as per the elements of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program ensuring a balanced variety of events.
Ensuring the Residential Life Program calendar meets the minimum standards of the university's Student Accommodation Operating Requirements (SAOR) each month.
Assist the General Manager Portfolio in the preparation of monthly & annual reports as well as the submission of the annual Res Life Strategic Plan which incorporates the Annual Budget.
Building a team through recruitment activities, coaching, and developing a high-performance culture.
Establish and maintain a constructive and productive working relationship with all key stakeholders.
Attendance to emergency situations such as fire alarms and requests for assistance from residents and colleagues.
Our mandatory requirements include:
Eligibility to work in Australia.
National Police Check (obtained within the last 3 months).
Working with Children Check.
