Job Summary: SCSS / Children, Youth & Family Services are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to join our team.
As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing day-to-day care and support to young people.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring their safety, promoting their well-being, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities: Provide direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting.
Develop and implement individualised care plans.
Assist with daily activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
Promote a safe and positive living environment.
Build trusting relationships with young people, offering emotional support and guidance.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Follow organisational policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of young people.
What we're looking for: Previous experience working with young people in a residential or similar care setting (not essential) A genuine passion for supporting and empowering young people.
Understanding of child development and trauma-informed care practices.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to use and access a smart phone for clocking in/out and shift notes.
Prior to commencement in this role, team members must hold or be eligible to hold: Blue Card for Working with Children, NDIS Worker Screening, Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS2), hold or be willing to enrol into a Cert 4 or higher recognised qualification and a valid unrestricted drivers licence.
