ACCORD CARE is trusted in the provision of person-centered disability support services to NDIS participants. We provide Supported Independent Living, In-home care, Community Participation, Short-Term Accommodation, Community Nursing, and Allied Health Services.

We are looking for an experienced, resilient individual to perform in a team leader capacity. You will be challenged in this role although the reward for your success is the positive outcomes you will bring to the clients we work alongside.
About the role As a Residential Care Officer, you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting your team to provide the highest standard of service across multiple locations in suburbs of Melbourne. By overseeing day-to-day operations, building strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders, in addition to providing key support and coaching to your team, you will work with your manager to provide the best outcomes for the people we support.
The role and responsibilities: Build a strong effective relationship with our clients, their stakeholders, and your colleagues in order to work collaboratively towards positive outcomes.Prepare/submit appropriate documentation such as weekly reports, incident reports, and data collection each week.Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service and liaise with your manager to work on the continuous improvement of service provision.Mentor and support your team to build their skillset and knowledge of best practices.Be responsive and proactive in all areas of your role.Ensure your team meets all mandatory requirements and go above and beyond for our participants.Lead from the front and contribute to a positive workplace culture.Complete all reporting requirements and support your teams to do the same.Implement and measure our client's success in reaching their NDIS goals.Qualification/Experience: Experience working with people living with complex mental health issues.Experience working with people who have experienced trauma is highly desirable.Experience leading teams preferably in a team leader capacity within the disability/mental health sector.Tertiary qualifications in mental health or community services sector or similar fields.Good understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans and implementation of Restrictive Practices.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.What we offer: Annual Salary $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.Weekly pays.Meaningful work in a purpose-driven organisation.Long-term employment in a recession-proof sector.Professional development and growth opportunities.If you think this sounds like you, please apply!
