This motivates us to provide the best in-home care services, disability transport, supported independent living, and disability accommodations in and around the NSW region.About the role:The main responsibility of the position is to help residents enhance their daily living, social, and emotional abilities. Ensure the well-being of the residents in the day's programs, group homes, and their own homes, and promote their related welfare matters. The position entails collaborating with pertinent governmental agencies and community organizations to identify problems and launch group efforts to solve them.Location: Central Coast Gosford (NSW)Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 annually plus SuperannuationRole: Full-timePositions available: MultipleKey responsibilities include:Provide mental health, social, and emotional support to residents in a residential care setting.Collaborate with a team to create various support plans for residents, such as Care Plans, Meal Plans, Activity Plans, and Rosters of Care.Assess resident needs related to health, welfare, employment, housing, training, and other appropriate services for their well-being.Observe residents for any changes in health and promptly report concerns to appropriate medical personnel or supervisors, including responding to emergencies and following safety protocols.Facilitate connections between residents and their family, community, and culture.Keep accurate records of resident care activities, medications administered, and any incidents or observations according to organizational policies.Supervise meal planning and preparation based on residents' dietary needs and preferences.Communicate effectively with residents, their families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and support resident needs.Manage budgets and funding for participants for cost-effectiveness.Ensure high levels of support by liaising with welfare agencies.Required qualification:- Minimum qualification of Diploma in community services or equivalent qualification in a related field. In the absence of relevant qualifications, three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.Relevant Experience:- Minimum 1 year of industry experience preferably in disability/mental health setting, aged care, or residential care setting is preferred.Skills:Proficient in establishing and sustaining professional and supportive relationships with clients.Thorough comprehension of the NDIS framework and disabilities within the Australian context.Possession of an up-to-date First Aid certification.Accredited in Manual Handling techniques.Strong customer service aptitude.Outstanding ability to manage time effectively.Competent in administrative and case management tasks.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Attributes:The desire and enthusiasm to help others.Generous disposition exhibiting endurance, composure, and understanding towards senior citizens/disabled people.Exhibited a sympathetic comprehension of complicated trauma and its consequences.Put the needs of the residents first while producing outcomes.Professional but sympathetic handling of the residents.Engaging demeanor and positive, can-do attitude.Capability to think laterally and use an adaptable approach to assist delivery.Please note: The employee will be required to travel to various locations subject to participant requirements.Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.If this sounds like the role for you, please apply via the facilities provided on this website.Due to the high volume of applications, please note that only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
