Job Title: Full-time Residential Care OfficerOur client BARUNGA VILLAGE INC, a company based in South Australia (ABN 30 211 708 504), is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of a Full-time Residential Care Officer. The annual salary for this position ranges from $73,000 to $75,000.
Duties:Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including notes, assessments, and care plans.Observe, report, and document all changes in resident need requirements.E nsure maintenance of clean linen and making of beds for residents.Maintain neat and tidy storage of resident clothing.Accurately deliver laundered clothing to residents' rooms.Assist with the serving of meals and assist residents as required.Assist in the delivery of specialized nursing needs for residents.Provide consistently high-quality care to all residents.Support independence of residents by providing appropriate assistance with personal care in accordance with care plans.Liaise with staff, residents, visitors, GPs, and allied health professionals to provide prompt and friendly service.Act to protect the rights of residents, including confidentiality, privacy, individual choice, and decision-making.Provide emotional support to residents.Actively participate in the Care team environment.Build and maintain effective relationships.Ensure compliance against the Aged Care Standards is maintained where appropriate.Be responsive to the needs of the company and its changing environment.Attend meetings and compulsory education as required.Identify self-education needs.Participate in safety and improvement activities for the organization.Identify and report areas of risk (including complaints) within the scope of the position.Demonstrate adherence to all OH & S policies and procedures.Display responsibility for self, team, and environment.Ensure compliance with all legislation and other requirements relevant to your position.Observe and practice the principles and obligations of Equal Employment Opportunity and maintain a workplace free from bullying and harassment.Comply with and promote company policies and procedures.Skills and Experience:A minimum of two years of on-the-job experience in a related field.A Diploma in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.A current driver's license and own transportation.The ability to work in a great team environment and a desire for long-term employment.A NDIS worker screening clearance dated not more than five years old.Annual flu vaccination and full immunization against COVID-19.A satisfactory police check with no disclosures.A statutory declaration to identify serious criminal activity committed outside of Australia.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and working in a dynamic team environment.
