Role OverviewAs a Residential Care Manager, McLaren Vale - you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our clinical care team to deliver exceptional care to our residents. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical services, ensuring compliance with legislative and accreditation standards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Your leadership will ensure that residents receive the highest standard of care while also supporting the personal and professional development of the clinical team.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
Manage clinical care and nursing services, ensuring they align with policies, procedures, and best practices.Oversee resident assessments and care plans, ensuring documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and meets all legislative requirements.Implement and monitor systems for consistent service delivery, with a focus on person-centred care and resident wellness.Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, promoting positive outcomes for residents and staff.Manage the relationship with residents' families and external healthcare providers, addressing complex issues and maintaining clear communication.Provide coaching and development opportunities for clinical staff, fostering a supportive and skilled workforce.Ensure all WHS regulations and safety standards are adhered to, maintaining a safe working environment for staff and residents.About the PersonThis role is ideal for a highly motivated Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise, proven leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering quality care in a residential aged care setting.
QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:
Strong clinical expertise in aged care with comprehensive knowledge of the aging process and relevant health issues.Proven leadership and people management skills.Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer relations skills.Commitment to continuous improvement.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks.Knowledge of aged care legislation, Aged Care Act 1997, Accreditation Standards, ACFI, and WHS regulations.Apart from this we ask that you have the following:
