Create impact as a Reserving Analyst / Reserving Senior Analyst.

Your Role You'll join our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Reserving Actuarial team and be responsible for data manipulation and modelling to generate and support the recommendation of actuarial liabilities, as well as delivery of business advisory role, covering claims experience, underlying risks and issues.
You'll support senior members of the team, learning processes and how they add value to the business through an understanding of the drivers of financial risk.
You'll support senior members of the team in generating advice, with appropriate backing of technical knowledge & results.
You'll develop key technical skills required for reserving and adjacent expertise areas (e.g.
understanding and building actuarial models, and coding skills in SAS or R).
Contribute to the calibration, use and improvement of analytical models and complete processes and projects efficiently, recommending and implementing improvements where appropriate.
You'll also be required to prepare dashboards and reports using industry standard software (e.g.
R markdown).
This is a permanent role, based in Naarm (Melbourne) or Gadigal Country (Sydney). About You Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate technical discipline e.g.
Actuarial, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Finance, Engineering.2+ years of experience in an actuarial or relevant role.Coding experience in R and/or SAS ideal but not essential.
