(HEO6 ) $86,360 - $93,285 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies. 21 months fixed-term contract-Full time Research Services provides professional staff support services to the University's Research community in relation to competitive research funding/grant opportunities, research grant administration, applications and awards, research ethics, compliance and integrity management, research contract management and research related reporting and collections such as the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA), and general and strategic advice to researchers and research leaders.
The Research Project Officer at the Office of Research Ethics, Compliance, and Integrity (ORECI) offers executive-level assistance for implementing legislation, codes of practice, and policies within the research ethics, compliance, and integrity domain.
Operating with broad oversight, this position involves providing advanced support for projects, committees, and system functions to enhance ORECI processes and services. Key responsibilities include aiding in the development, implementation, and refinement of ORECI processes, website, and information systems. Moreover, the role encompasses administrative and operational duties to facilitate ORECI activities and address internal and external inquiries effectively.
To be successful you will need: Knowledge of the University sector and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented field.Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support including a high level of competence in servicing committees and taking minutes.Demonstrated ability to evaluate and interpret complex rules, policies and procedures and analyse information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations to improve administrative efficiency and deliver quality services.Demonstrated high-level competence of standard office computer software, internet and database packages, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing IT environments;Demonstrated high-level verbal and written communication skills including the ability to prepare correspondence for internal and external audiences, and briefing papers for management.Demonstrated ability to work effectively on both independent projects and as part of a high functioning team in the achievement of planned goals and objectives;Demonstrated ability to use initiative, exercise good judgement and prioritise competing demands while maintaining work accuracy and attention to detail in a pressured environmentDemonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery,and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectationsQualifications: Degree qualification(s) in an appropriate field with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.Enjoy an outstanding career environment The University of Adelaide is a uniquely rewarding workplace.
