Women's Safety Services SA (WSSSA) is a leading provider of support services for women and children experiencing domestic & family violence. THE ROLE The Multi Agency Protection Service (MAPS) is an inter-agency information-sharing program to manage high risk domestic violence and child protection issues. The program is led by SAPOL and brings together partner agencies including SAPOL, Department for Education and Child Development (DECD), Department for Child Protection (DCP), Department for Correctional Services (DCS), Department for Human Services – SAHA (DHS), SA Health and WSSSA as non-government sector representatives. MAPS Research Officers are responsible for interrogating relevant databases across support services, including Domestic and Family Violence and Homelessness Services to access information appropriate to address the WSSSA Task Response. This involves a written overview and analysis of victim and accused contact and history with relevant services. WSSSA is seeking an individual who will utilise their professional expertise and knowledge of risk and protective factors that impact on the safety of vulnerable individuals to contribute to a multi-agency risk analysis. This position is offered on a part time basis working 45 hours per fortnight (0.6FTE), initially fixed term until on a two year fixed term contract. ABOUT YOU We are seeking a values-driven, highly reliable practitioner with excellent attention to detail and significant knowledge and experience in the provision of services to women and children affected by domestic and family violence. A Degree or Diploma in Social Work, Psychology or Counselling, and/ or experience commensurate with the position Significant knowledge and experience in understanding risk assessment and safety management as it relates to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence Demonstrated ability to synthesise information from various data bases for inclusion in summary documents emphasising risk and protective factors Understanding of the gendered drivers of domestic and family violence Demonstrated ability to research and cross reference information A current drivers licence, and be eligible for, or hold a DHS Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance; WHY CHOOSE WOMEN'S SAFETY SERVICES SA?
