About the role Mater Research (MR) has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Research Officer to join our leading Cancer Immunotherapies group.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our South Brisbane campus.
Key Responsibilities:
The Postdoctoral Researcher will investigate the role of primary human dendritic cells (DCs) in cancer and apply this knowledge to develop new therapeutics for cancer.
This role involves designing and conducting experiments using a variety of approaches including computational, in vitro and in vivo humanized mouse models, data analysis, contributing to publications and collaborative research efforts as well as providing mentorship and supervision to junior lab members and students.
Some of your key duties will include:
Participate in the design, execution and control of research studiesCoordinate the processing and analysis of data and laboratory testsCoordinate the conduct of experimental tests and proceduresAnalyse literature relevant to research areaAssist in the preparation of research papers for publication and presentation at conferences and workshops, and in the writing of research grant applications, ethics and compliance documentsWork with colleagues and postgraduates in the development of joint research projects.Organise data for the preparation of proposals for new fundingSupervision of junior staff and students and contribution to the smooth running of a laboratoryPrepare regular written reports in keeping with the requirements of funding and organisational guidelines as requested.About you To be considered for this position, you will possess:
