The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.
Provide support to the Clinical Trials Team (CTT) in establishing, undertaking and coordinating research projects, Haematology and Oncology Registries, and Clinical Trials studies, providing a broad range of project management, administrative and research-related functions.
Act as a resource person for all non-clinical aspects of the clinical trials run at the site, for medical investigators, nursing and laboratory staff, pharmacists, other hospital departments, contract research organisations, ethics committee, and patients involved in research studies within the CTT.
Provide support to and assist with the coordination of collaborative cancer group, commercial sponsor, and local investigator-initiated research within the CTT.
Create and maintain comprehensive databases for the CTT.
The team:
Cancer and Blood Services (CaBS) at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is a comprehensive service dedicated to cancer and blood disorder patients including the state-wide bone marrow transplant service. The units together provide treatment, research, clinical trials, and education regarding these diseases and survivorship care.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, full-time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed-term full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $79,529 - $91,517 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Eligibility:

Previous experience in clinical trials projects
Relevant tertiary qualifications

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
