OREI supports researchers to meet their statutory and research integrity obligations through the promotion of best research practice and adoption of the principles that inform these activities, derived but not limited to the Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity.What you need to succeedEducation, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field/s and extensive relevant experience in research ethics, governance and/or clinical trials.Strong understanding and experience applying research governance principles in the higher education sector and more specifically the regulatory environment relating to clinical trials, human research, and the use of animals for scientific purposes.Extensive knowledge and experience in delivering training programs.Demonstrated ability to develop user-friendly enabling systems and processes to streamline research governance and compliance.Demonstrated experience developing policies, procedures and guidelines in order to provide clear and consistent advice to diverse stakeholders in a large and complex organisation.Demonstrated success in leading monitoring or similar programs including the ability to display initiative, critically evaluate current systems and processes and develop strategies, policies and plans to support the strategic direction of the university in the compliance of research activities.Demonstrated highly developed written and interpersonal skills to negotiate, influence and liaise effectively with colleagues, researchers, senior management and external regulators and clients whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion.Life at QUTWe're committed to building a culture that fosters connection between people and purpose.
