(HE07) $98,343 - $109,989 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies. Continuing Full-time position available immediately. The Research Development Officer works as part of the Research Development Team to plan, manage and monitor the delivery of high-quality research grant support and services for the Arts, Business and Economics (ABLE) Faculty.
Key responsibilities include: Faculty grant support and researcher development support. Provision of research funding advisory services. Providing pre-award grant checking and validation services. Coordinating ranking/review activities for Faculty cohorts. Contributing to training and development programs relating to funding opportunities. Supporting Faculty grant performance reporting. To be successful you will need: Demonstrated ability to provide high quality advice to staff on research grant administration issues, including interpreting and advising on complex documentation for pre and post award grants matters. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing client centric research grant programs in a complex research focused environment including working collaboratively with researchers and key internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated experience identifying and analysing information and issues to support the development of practical solutions and recommendations for effective client outcomes and the implementation of research projects. Demonstrated ability to show initiative, instigate and undertake tasks with minimum supervision and work effectively both independently and as a team member. Excellent organisational skills with the demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, plan actions and work well to tight (externally imposed) deadlines. A high level of self-motivation, initiative, creativity and sound judgement. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner to deliver client centric services. The successful candidate should have detailed knowledge of the University sector, funding of research and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented field.
