Research Degrees And Scholarships - Allied Health

Details of the offer

Research Degrees and Scholarships - Allied Health If you are seeking to advance your career in the field of allied health and human performance, and are interested in making a difference in physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, exercise and sports science, human movement, clinical exercise physiology, speech pathology, medical radiation sciences, health science, public health or medical sonography, the University of South Australia - Australia's University of Enterprise – is offering a variety of project-based PhD or Master of Research degrees.
Allied health and human performance is a rapidly growing field, and at UniSA we undertake research in areas such as exercise and nutrition, persistent pain, stroke recovery, persistent breathlessness, child health and the rural health inequity. UniSA is a world-leader in these fields, and we are setting the pace for the development of treatments, policy, and practice by end-users and industry.
There is a need for allied health and human performance professionals and a research degree at UniSA will prepare you with expert knowledge to meet that demand, become an expert in your field, and lead the future of allied health and human performance.
What you'll do
We currently have a variety of projects available in the field of allied health and human performance, and if you don't see a current project you are interested in, speak with one of our many world-class research supervisors to discuss developing your own.
In a UniSA project-based research degree you will apply for an existing project outline with an established supervisory panel to support you in your degree. You will develop a research project exploring ground-breaking knowledge, treatments and practice that address critical challenges.
You may also have the opportunity to liaise with industry partners, with past project partners ranging from SA Health and the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
You will also be encouraged to publish in recognised journals and be supported to present at various industry conferences. The acquired skills and their direct application through your project-based research degree will prepare you to be a leader in your field of allied health, with practical experience and skills in this highly sought-after area.
Where you'll be based
You will be based at one of UniSA's world-class research centres – such as UniSA's Innovation, Implementation and Clinical Translation (IIMPACT in Health), the Alliance for Research in Exercise, Nutrition and Activity (ARENA) or within UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance. These research areas bring together experts to develop new knowledge and treatments through allied health.
