Permanent Role  Sydney or Melbourne based – WFH two days per week  Incredible opportunity to join BT Financial Group's Platforms and Investments business BT is the wealth management arm of Westpac Group; we aim to provide solutions for our customers in the creation and management of wealth. We do this by finding the most intelligent ways to manage, preserve, administer and advise on wealth, through our house of brands. BT provides a full spectrum of wealth products and services across investment, superannuation and retirement income products, investment administration, financial advice, private banking and insurance solutions.
How will I help? The Platforms Investment Research Team (PIR) is part of the BT Platforms and Investments business and has primary responsibility for monitoring and oversight of the investments available across BT's Platforms & Investments' products.
PIR carries out investment research across a broad range of investments and asset classes as part of the monitoring processes of the BT Investment Governance Policy. The team is responsible for recommending the approval and removal of investments on BT's platforms' menus.
The role of the Research Associate supports the team in carrying out their investment due diligence and reporting responsibilities. The successful candidate will also assist in responding to stakeholder and client queries. Working in a tight knit team, this role is varied and will interact with many groups within the business. 
Key responsibilities include:
Assist in management of stakeholder queries. Assist with investment additions, closures, and investment option reviews. Assist with preparation of PIR papers/reports. What's in it for me? What do I need? To be successful in this position you will come from a role within BT or the wider Westpac Group, ideally with exposure to analysis, governance or report writing. 
You will be curious and have passion for investment markets, and be comfortable dealing with stakeholders at various levels. 
Additionally, you may have the following attributes: 
Tertiary qualifications (or working toward) in a business/ finance related discipline Some exposure and/ or keen interest in investment research Knowledge of Platform and/or Advice businesses                High attention to detail Demonstrable ability to streamline processes Advanced problem-solving skills and critical thinking Solid organisational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines What's it like to work there?
