The opportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant specializing in Protein Science to join our dynamic team.
This role involves planning and conducting cell culture, protein purification, and biophysical characterization of proteins to enable research and development of novel biologic therapeutics.
How you'll spend your dayAssist in the design, planning, and execution of research projects focused on protein science.Generating and characterizing proteins including the following responsibilities: General molecular biology, and DNA preparation.Mammalian cell culture for recombinant protein expression.Lab scale method development for antibody and target protein purification.Collect, analyse, and interpret experimental data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.Maintain detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results.Collaborate with senior researchers and cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.Contribute to the preparation of research reports, publications, and presentations.Stay current with the latest scientific advancements and techniques in protein science.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.Your experience and qualificationsBachelor's degree in Life sciences with an honour's degreeExperience in protein analysis and characterization techniquesExperience in mammalian cell culture, protein purification by liquid chromatography and analytical characterization methodsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsProficiency in using laboratory instruments and software for data analysisStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentEnjoy a more rewarding choiceWork with a motivated team of scientists in state-of-the-art laboratoriesGenerous leave, health, and wellbeing benefitsCommitment to ongoing personal & professional growth via a blend of learning opportunitiesParking available at our Macquarie Park siteOpportunity to join a leading global organisation with a network of 37,000 employees operating in 60 markets, with 25 R&D sitesMake a difference with Teva PharmaceuticalsPlease submit your CV and a cover letter responding to the selection criteria outlining relative keys skills and experience in relation to this role.
