About the Role As Director, Head of Environmental Markets Trading, you will be responsible for Commodities trade execution, Global Environmental Markets Trading team leadership and directional leadership for the broader Environmental Markets sales and trading business strategy. As the Head of Emissions Trading, you will: Grow and maximise the Bank's global Environmental Markets business profitability via strong team leadership, refinement of trading strategies, and management of the team's broader product and marketing strategy. Develop strong relationships with the Sales team to provide quality service to existing customers and build strong connections across the commodities industry. Manage commodity execution across multiple time-zone dealing hours and ensuring accurate and timely transaction capture. Understand client goals and identifying franchise opportunities for growth. Establish working relationships with key internal stakeholder groups including Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Research & Analysis, Finance, Legal, Middle & Back Office. Be able to meet all operational and compliance requirements when executing and recording transactions. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: At least 10 years relevant commodity price making experience with a global commodity house or a major trading or investment bank in a team leadership position. Existing relationships across commodities markets. Broad products and market knowledge, specifically in Environmental Markets. A track record in solutions based financial derivative engineering and numeracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work as part of the broader global Environmental and multi-asset Commodities trading and sales team. A proven track record managing positions in Environmental Markets derivatives. Experience with working in a team across multiple geographies and time zones.
