Our teams of researchers lead key internationally competitive research from molecules to medicines, from patient to policy, across a range of therapeutic areas.
The Sydney Pharmacy School is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant (HEO 5) to join a multidisciplinary research team working on a project exploring pharmacy-based sleep health services, led by Professor Bandana Saini. The staff employed in this role will be located within the Camperdown campus.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices are a mainstay of treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. Adherence to these devices is however low. CPAP devices are supplied by some pharmacies which provides an easy access path to technical and adherence support services for CPAP users. Using evidence-based methods, this study will develop and test a standard adherence service model for provision by CPAP provider pharmacies to support those with apnoea to derive maximal benefits from CPAP treatment.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Manage administration related to grant funding, supporting compliance with all requirements.
Support research administration, managing investigator team meetings or those with external stakeholders.
Contribute to the design and development of research protocols, ensuring timely execution of research activities.
Assist with data collection and analysis, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Collaborate with researchers, clinical specialists, and affiliated partners to share findings and progress.
Manage the documentation process for research publications, from drafting to submission, and maintain comprehensive research records.
Facilitate ongoing communication with a broad range of stakeholders, proactively addressing any concerns, and collaborating with team members to continuously improve stakeholder relations.
Coordinate with the team to produce quality reports, verify data accuracy within university systems, and actively engage in compliance initiatives to uphold regulations.
Process regular purchasing and payment activities, ensuring timely and accurate invoice management.
Lead by example in prioritising health and safety within daily operations, coordinate with peers for safety drills and training, and proactively identify areas for safety improvement within the work scope.
Undertake other duties appropriate within the classification level as required.
About you Experience and research in related field - pharmacy practice research / sleep health research.
Bachelor's degree in related field – preferably Pharmacy.
Qualitative and quantitative research methodology experience.
Good Clinical Practice training certificate (GCP).
Data management/analysis experience.
AHPRA registration (desirable).
Exceptional administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple competing deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills, and a demonstrated level of tact and discretion in dealing with a variety of matters.
Effective ability to manage a diverse group of key stakeholders on large or complex projects, and the ability to develop/cultivate productive relationships with industry providers and key users.
