This role is also responsible for:
Preparing tissues for establishing cell line models and organoids.Developing and maintaining patient-derived xenograft models.Working with clinical trial centres.Collecting and processing samples from paediatric solid tumour patients.General lab safety, stock take and supply management.Lab journal entries and compliance with SOPs.The Research Assistant will report to the Research Group Head and maintain close working relationships with the Centre for Cancer Research team.
SELECTION CRITERIA The role will suit someone who is: Ethical and compliance-oriented thinker.Highly collaborative and team-oriented.Familiar with functional genomic techniques.Interested in paediatric cancer research.A relevant tertiary degree and a minimum of 3 years laboratory/research experience.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS This position is a fixed term contract role in a Full time (1.0 FTE) capacity. Salary is based on Research Support Staff classification dependent on level of experience. Superannuation of 11.5% and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
