About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate research assistant to join a dedicated team making a meaningful impact in Indigenous health. You'll work alongside leading experts, building your skills within a supportive and collaborative environment. This role offers a unique chance to advance your career while contributing to impactful research that supports the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Your responsibilities will include: Coordinating daily research activities, supporting project planning, and drafting key research documents such as protocols, ethics applications, and progress reports. Maintaining collaborative relationships with project partners, stakeholders, and keeping accurate records of meetings and activities. Actively participating in Centre, School, and Faculty meetings, and contributing to community and professional events, including conferences. Promoting University values of diversity, inclusion, ethics, and integrity, while adhering to all relevant University policies, procedures, and safety standards. Who We Are Looking For You must have strong coordination skills, able to work to deadlines and ensure work is completed to a high standard. Ideally you will have experience in preparing and writing ethics approvals.
You will also have:
Completion of or near-completion of a Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Strong written communication skills and experience in report writing. Proven experience in managing relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders from research and policy environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve project goals and meet deadlines. This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
