THE ROLE - RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST – ELECTRONIC WARFARE SYSTEMS CS Executive Group currently have an opportunity for an experienced Research and Development Specialist looking to undertake work in automated sensors and electronic warfare systems. Ideally, successful candidates will have previous Defence Industry and/or Defence prime research experience with an understanding of intelligence, EW and integrated sensor surveillance systems.
Responsibilities: Undertake research (with limited to no supervision) on a variety of capability requirements including sensor tracking, surveillance and multiple systems integration and future ADF capability – ISREW Development of original algorithms and reconstruct software into plausible and real-time demonstrations in a secured environment sandbox Work in conjunction with other industry vendors, ADF capability managers and Defence Science Communicate findings across multi-disciplinary and diverse teams, developing capability and concept documentation for joint and domain platform programs Minimum Requirements: Extensive science, engineering, research and technical qualifications with subsequent professional experience/expertise in a relevant or similar field Previous experience with AI and/or automated targeting systems, sensors and Electronic Warfare capability Professional communication skills – both written and verbal General Attributes: Strong oral and written communication skills Excellent organisational and time management skills Ability to work proactively and with minimal supervision The ability to think strategically and demonstrate sound judgement and initiative Respond positively to change, support others and commit to action Apply technical knowledge, expertise and skills Successful applicants must be Australian Citizens and possess an Australian Security Clearance of NV1 or the ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance.
