A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months.For more information about Merit Lists or Merit Pools, please go to APSC's website - The APS Merit Principle.Position OverviewThe Reporting Lead will directly oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of reports, templates, analytics, and dashboards used in the National Quality Agenda IT System (NQA ITS).The Key Duties of the Position Include:Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for leading a small team of reporting analysts within the regulatory systems team to deliver on project outcomes and delivery, showing an ability to lead by example.Owns, creates, monitors, and drives delivery of the team's operational plans in consultation with management.Manage stakeholders through change, resolving conflict and managing sensitivities.Co-ordinate the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of reports on a range of Microsoft products and other data/reporting tools used in the NQA ITS such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.Co-ordinate the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of analytics, data ingestion, and ETL processes in all current and future Business Intelligence solutions.Co-ordinate the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of templates using Smart Flows template generation software whilst continuing to manage stakeholder expectations.Oversee, drive, and deliver enhancements and additional implementations of data warehouse/lakehouse solutions.Maintain and update the data models for all existing Business Intelligence solutions, as well as support and contribute to the implementation of datasets for end-users.Manage key operations of Business Intelligence solutions such as user configurations, security, and technical troubleshooting, as well as working closely with IT and relevant vendors to maintain and administer reporting infrastructure and environments.Work closely with jurisdictional stakeholders and other external parties around NQA ITS data, reporting needs, and requirements, including the provision of recommendations, options, and potential solutions.Manage data quality issues, complex data extractions/migrations, and deliver expert technical advice to ensure the best outcome for stakeholders and ACECQA.Oversee and drive the development of technical documentation regarding data and reporting objects, solutions, and infrastructure.Work effectively with other Regulatory System team members and developers during the sprint and release cycles to ensure report and data artifacts comply with current change management processes.Key Selection CriteriaProven experience in leading teams including developing team expertise, planning, scheduling, and directing work, ensuring quality outcomes.Exhibits a broad and in-depth knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools, in particular Microsoft products such as Fabric and Power BI.Experience working in Azure environments with a good grasp of services like Azure SQL Databases, Azure DevOps, and Azure Data Lake.Strong experience working with git-based source control systems.Demonstrated advanced knowledge of SQL, DAX, and other key reporting languages like Python, along with a strong background in SSRS/Paginated report development.Experience working with, architecting, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses, data models, and data integration solutions based around Azure Data Factory and Fabric Data Pipelines.Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret, understand, and convey a data journey via different tools and mediums.Highly developed communication skills, and experience working with diverse groups of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to network and build relationships with key stakeholders and partners, along with growing and fostering relationships to win and secure future work and project opportunities.Strong experience overseeing the delivery of reporting and data requirements, technical documentation including ERDs, data definitions, and dictionaries.Proven ability to provide SME technical advice across the entire breadth of NQA ITS reporting outputs and infrastructure, as well as thoroughly researched recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM/D365, with a focus on integrating reports and analytics.Experience with either ZAP Data Hub or Experlogix Smart Flows software or similar.Knowledge of data science concepts, approaches, and experience with Jupyter or Pyspark notebooks.Experience with Fabric lakehouses and lakehouse architecture.ContactContact Phone: +61282404522Agency Employment ActThe Education and Care Services National Law
