Job Position West Power Group are currently seeking a Rental & Field Service Supervisor to deliver Generator rental solutions and aftersales service to our clients.
The successful applicant will be based in Perth, Western Australia.

The Role The Rental & Field Service Supervisor will be responsible for a wide variety of key activities that include the below.
Key Client Contact: Liaise closely with key client contacts such as client project managers & lead project engineers throughout the contract duration.
Reporting: Produce reports to keep the client informed.
Project Management: Activities such as forecasting required manpower, planning of mobilization and demobilization, procurement of installation materials, organizing required installation tooling and infrastructure.
Documentation: Be involved in the development of site-specific documents such as installation methodology, JSA's, SWMS, etc.
Technical Services: Providing technical support to in-house personnel and clients on our specialised equipment provided as part of the packages.
Sub-Contractor Management: Engage, supervise & drive sub-contractors to deliver on agreed services ensuring they comply with set completion time frames, agreed cost, and that work is to a high standard.
Quality Assurance: Ensure QA is met throughout the installation & commissioning phase of the project.
Leadership & Team Management: Leading, supervising & driving construction teams of 5 to 10 personnel covering tradesmen, trades assistants, riggers, and sub-contractors.
Working on the Tools: Only when the workload permits.
Tendering Assistance: The candidate will also be required to assist the sales team in tendering projects.
Assistance will involve site visits to scope out site works required and also assist in budgeting for site works.
A typical project will involve the below listed activities: Travel to site with the sales personnel to assist in scoping out the project.
Assist estimating personnel in equipment selection and budgeting for the required site works.
Please note that the above activities will only be undertaken by the candidate when workload permits.
Attend project kick-off meetings once service/rental contracts have been awarded.
Organization of tooling and manpower required for the service/rental contract aspect of the project.
This will also include the organization of sub-contractors.
Development of site-specific documentation where required.
Be the clients' main point of contact at a site level throughout the duration of the contract.
As you can see, the role is one where the successful candidate will have to wear several hats and have exceptional administration, technical skills, be willing to work on the tools (when workload permits), have client management/people skills, time management, and planning skills in order to be able to meet the responsibilities of the role.

The Candidate Having an in-depth knowledge and experience of our equipment type is the main area of focus, where candidates that have worked in Installation and Commissioning of the following equipment are high on our list: Standby generator systems.
Prime power generator systems.
Mechanical & Electrical installation of generator systems.
Although not essential criteria, candidates that possess the following qualifications or trades are encouraged to apply: Tradesmen: Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical.
Project Management: Tertiary, Diploma, or Cert.
Tickets/Licenses: Electricians, Leadership Training.
Please note that if the required tickets to carry out the above-mentioned projects are not held, West Power Group is willing to compensate the candidate to obtain these tickets/licenses.
