We own and manage farms, factories, and distribution channels, ensuring complete control over the essential aspects of bringing livestock from paddock to plate.We are currently seeking a skilled Rendering Plant Operator to join our team in Warrnambool Victoria.This role is responsible for the operation of state-of-the-art computer controlled process equipment, cooker, machinery, and evaluation of any process problems in addition to performing product quality testing to ensure QA standards are met.
Responsibilities:Operate equipment and control processes in the production of high quality/high value animal protein products and fat, successfully applying learned knowledge of processes and production methodsMonitor gauges related to times, pressures, and temperaturesMonitor product flow with respect to smooth and unrestricted movement of product through the entire system utilizing SCADA – managing inputs and outputsEnsure all quality standards, work instructions and safety requirements are metLog pertinent information into log sheets at appropriate intervalsWhen necessary, sample product in accordance with established methods and proceduresPerform basic operator troubleshooting and repair of equipmentMaintain a clean work area including proper care and storage of tools/equipmentExperiences:Prior experience in a rendering facility with HAARSLEV processing technology preferredYou must be reliable, physically fit and willing to work as part of a teamCommunicate effectively both written and verbalDemonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in workBasic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized informationAbility to work with minimum supervision and adapt to a changing environment quicklyAbility to follow written, verbal instructions and complete simple checklists and required documentationYou must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if requiredYou have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination processGood mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting; skilled in general mechanics and safe operation of equipmentForklift License would be highly regarded but not essentialAbility to deal with minor problems involving equipment or various situationsAbility to work nights and/or weekends as neededWHY JOIN US?Above award base rates, generous bonuses & opportunity for career progression within our global organizationSafe and supportive work environment by providing an Employee Assistance ProgramOn site canteen, free parking, staff discounts, monthly staff BBQs and annual flu vaccination program#J-18808-Ljbffr
