Remote Water Team Infrastructure Prioritisation OfficerBand 3 Professional (Remuneration Package $159,831pa to $189,392pa*) Water Services Fixed vacancy from 15/01/2025 to 30/06/2026 Darwin Power and Water Corporation is a Northern Territory Government (NTG) owned utility that operates across a geographic area of 1.3 million square kilometres and within a range of diverse environmental conditions, ranging from the arid dry of the central desert to the tropical monsoon of the top end. The corporation generates, transmits and distributes electricity, supplies water and wastewater treatment services across the Northern Territory (NT) for the benefit of residents, including remote and isolated Aboriginal communities and outstations.
We are looking for a Remote Water Team Infrastructure Prioritisation Officer where you will develop and maintain a prioritised investment framework for water security projects across all 72 remote IES communities. You will coordinate the interagency collation and consolidation of existing and planned investment programs through program assurance processes.
You will need to have a demonstrated ability to generate reports for various audiences for clear and transparent decision making in a complex environment and the ability to deliver outcomes across a team of multi-disciplinary specialists. Experience in preparing strategic risk assessments, reports, detailed correspondence, using data and prioritisation processes, asset management prioritisation, and in designing new processes for outcome improvements is essential.
Willingness and ability to travel to remote communities via road or light aircraft is required.
To be considered, you must hold a mandatory minimum 3 or 4 year Science or Engineering degree recognized in Australia. Experience working with remote community essential services infrastructure and/or demonstrated experience in delivering essential services in remote locations and in a cross-cultural context are considered highly desirable.
