We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Community and Religious Education (CARE) Teacher to join our Secondary School team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in religious studies and a passion for promoting lifelong learning. The curriculum is not designed to instil a particular perspective in our students, but rather aims to provide them with an understanding of faith in our community and with concepts, language and skills to evaluate and discuss matters of faith.
This is a fixed-term part time (0.8FTE) 12-month opportunity, commencing Term 1, 2025.
The Average Day: Plan and design engaging and holistic CARE lessons Deliver lessons in a fun and safe environment, providing guidance and motivation for learning Evaluate students learning requirements and monitor progress Foster and support student well-being and personal growth Utilise a wide variety of teaching resources Collaborate with fellow educators and school leadership to enhance student learning and development Actively participate in school events, meetings, and co-curricular activities as needed The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have:
Relevant teaching qualifications In-depth knowledge and understanding of religious studies Demonstrated success in teaching Religious Education Strong communication and interpersonal skills A passion for creativity and innovation in teaching Excellent time management and organisational abilities A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
