Religious Education and Physical Education Teacher - St Michael's College, MERRIMACSt Michael's College is seeking a suitably qualified, dynamic educator to fill the position of Religious Education and Physical Education Teacher. The successful applicant will demonstrate a willingness to teach within the RE department up to Year 11 and 12 Religion and Ethics level. This role is 50% PE and 50% RE.
The successful applicant will be joining an established and dedicated team of teachers, focused on collaborative working practices, supported by outstanding Heads of Departments.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a commitment to Excellence in Learning and Teaching through co-planning from the approved curriculum; teaching that provides opportunities for students to develop their love of learning; and a mind-frame of continuous improvement through dedicated feedback processes.
A student-focused mindset will be evident in the successful candidate's ability to articulate their experience in working to create an environment where, in partnership with families, they have worked to support students to discover their spark, discover their strength, and discover their spirit. Experience working within a Responsible Thinking Process framework would be advantageous.
