About Your Next Opportunity Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an opportunity for a part-time Relief Pathology Specimen Collector to join their Pathology Collection team working in collections centres in the Sunshine Coast from Caloundra to Gympie.

Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff. Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:

Providing quality care for our patients in hospital; Treating our patients with care and compassion; Receiving urine and faeces samples; Recording patient information; Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a hospital setting. This position is to cover sick and annual leave in the Collection Centres plus Mobile Collection shifts across the Sunshine Coast. Shifts can be between the hours of 6 am - 9 pm Monday to Friday with a rotation on the weekend roster.

About You The successful applicants must be collectors who are customer service focused and have a commitment to maintaining the high standard of our collection centres. We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys variety within their role Is a good communicator Is flexible Is a proud advocate of SNP, its policies and procedures Has a willingness to increase skill-based knowledge as required Displays efficient time management and problem-solving skills Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate. The successful applicant will have a commitment to service excellence with good interpersonal and liaison skills.

If you do not have a current First Aid Certificate, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology will assist successful applicants to obtain it.

Candidates who have experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors with a natural knack for caring for others will also be regarded highly.
