This position involves overseeing the daily operations, managing bookings, maintaining room cleanliness and comfort, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
The role includes a variety of tasks ranging from administrative duties to hands-on operational tasks.Key Responsibilities:Guest Reservations and Bookings:Take and manage phone, email, and online bookings.Confirm and update guest reservations.Provide guests with accurate information regarding room availability, rates, and services.Ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures are followed.Room Maintenance and Cleanliness:Oversee the preparation of guest rooms before arrival, ensuring cleanliness and comfort.Clean, make up, and restock rooms as necessary.Perform light cleaning tasks such as changing bed linens, vacuuming, dusting, and tidying.Ensure all amenities and in-room facilities are functioning and replenished regularly.Laundry and Linen Management:Launder motel bed linens, towels, and other guest-use fabrics.Maintain the linen inventory and ensure clean linens are available for room turnover.Ensure proper care and storage of linens to maintain quality and cleanliness.Restocking and Maintenance of In-Room Amenities:Replenish in-room bar fridges with beverages and snacks.Restock tea and coffee supplies in each room as needed.Ensure toiletries, towels, and other room amenities are adequately stocked and fresh.Guest Service and Communication:Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide exceptional customer service.Address and resolve guest complaints, concerns, or requests in a professional and timely manner.Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests at all times.Administrative Duties:Keep records of daily activities, guest check-ins and check-outs, and bookings.Manage guest payments and issue receipts.Monitor inventory levels of room supplies, toiletries, and cleaning products, and order as needed.General Motel Operations:Oversee the security and safety of the motel, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Handle emergencies or unforeseen situations as required.Working Hours:This is a relief position, requiring flexibility and availability to cover for the primary manager's absence.
Hours may vary based on the needs of the motel, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.Security Clearance:Must be willing to undergo a Commonwealth security check as a condition of employment.Skills and Experiences:Skills and Qualifications:Prior experience in hospitality or motel management is preferred.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Basic knowledge of computer systems, booking software, and payment processing.Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and lifting as needed.Able to handle cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, laundering, and stocking supplies.To apply:Please click "Apply for this job".
