The Release Manager role is an important role reporting into the Technology Service Owner. Release Manager is responsible for scheduling, planning, and controlling the software's development and delivery process. As a Release Manager, you will: Partner with the Dev Ops team to deliver the services and support both IT Operations and Delivery squads. Oversee the Release Management lifecycle, including scheduling releases and coordinating between multiple squads across Originations and Servicing teams. Ensure that releases undergo required quality controls, working closely with application development, testing, and production teams. Identify risks that can delay the release and manage them to maintain scope and quality. Schedule release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release. Plan and provide weekly updates on release activities. Lead Go-Live activities to deploy software successfully. Manage Risk reporting at portfolio level and track issues/blockers/incidents in production regularly. Manage access to applications for the Engineering team. Coordinate with L2/L3 teams and build/publish dashboards for tracking customer transactions. Improve methodologies used for configuration management and software development. Own the patch management process to address application vulnerabilities. Support the Technical Service Owner in managing Risk and Controls for accountable applications. What do I need? To be successful in this role, you need to have the following skills, education & personal attributes: A bachelor's or higher degree. 10+ years' experience in projects and/or delivery of technology solutions in service delivery, project management, or release management roles. Champion in driving continuous improvement in tools and processes. Experience across Agile and adaptive delivery models. Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines & tooling. Working knowledge of managing code repositories such as Github is desirable. Experience with Dev Ops and Agile methodologies. Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle. Expertise in computer programming. Team management skills. Knowledge of traditional agile methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban. Good understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems. Expertise with tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Experience crafting and measuring success with OKRs, KPIs, etc. Previous Banking domain experience is a plus; experience with Fortify/Tenable is desirable. How do I apply? Start here.
