The Bank of Melbourne Commercial & Emerging Corporate Banking team supports Victorian industry through a network of professional bankers, specialists and support teams, and we're committed to offering deep industry expertise to our commercial and emerging corporate customers. A critical part of our success is our ability to target high growth opportunities and grow our capabilities in industry specialisation, working capital and specialist expertise in areas like wealth, financial markets, cash-flow and transactional banking.
Our Relationship Directors manage and develop a portfolio of large business connections with lending and focus on winning new-to-bank customers. You'll play a critical role in driving growth and sourcing new clients through your own and bank-developed marketing initiatives and by maintaining a quality referral network. You'll ensure our existing customer's needs are met and give them a great experience.
It's a high touch role that gives you the chance to work with different specialists across the bank. Internally you'll take the lead in coaching and mentoring your team and externally, you'll have a high profile and strong market presence.

What do I need?
We are looking for a seasoned banker with extensive experience in corporate & commercial lending. Strong credit skills are a must, and you'll be some experience with complex deal structuring. You will also be supported by a team of analysts and portfolio managers. A natural people-person, you will boast an impressive track record in business development, including the acquisition of new to bank customers and a well-established network of referral sources and brokers. The expectation is that you are also comfortable originating home lending needs as part of the overall funding proposition to your clients.
Hospitality sector (particularly large hotel accommodation, and pubs) networks, expertise, and established networks will be highly regarded.
The role also provided coaching, development and leadership to the portfolio's Account Executive.
