You will contribute to managing the Crop Protection investment portfolio, including overseeing the review of agrichemical strategies and building an investment portfolio to help shape the sector's future, handling tenders and contracts and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
Reporting to the Head of Biosecurity R&D, you will ensure the delivery of R&D projects and work closely with growers, industry groups and regulators.
Responsibilities include:
Driving R&D investments in crop protection to manage pests, weeds, and diseases;Facilitating key stakeholder relationships with APVMA, crop protection suppliers, growers, and delivery partners;Ensuring data collection to support label registration applications;Overseeing new minor use permit registrations.The Person To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in both regulatory affairs and crop protection, particularly in R&D data generation (field trials);Solid understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment including APVMA approval processes;Broad knowledge of crop protection chemicals, use techniques, and Australian agriculture;Strength in project management;Passion for horticulture.Put your knowledge and experience to use in maximising opportunities and solutions for growers in the horticultural industry, dealing with pest, weed, and disease challenges.
