About the role:We are currently expanding our team of Regulatory Advisors. Our team currently delivers quality policy and regulatory analysis, advice and support in submissions to regulators, governments and industry participants in relation to Jemena's economic regulation, with a focus on assisting with the development of reset regulatory submissions.The purpose of this role is to provide high quality, proactive and timely strategic regulatory advice and delivery of services concerning regulatory development, regulatory policy and economics, the preparation of regulatory submissions, regulatory reporting and price determinations.Your responsibilities will include:Provide timely, accurate and clear regulatory advice that reflects Jemena's commercial and customer drivers.Support the development of economic analysis, modelling, advice and submissions as an input to business decision making and regulatory processes (in particular the development of five-yearly price reset regulatory submissions)Work collaboratively and proactively with other teams within Jemena Networks and Finance and coordinate, strategic and quality review of Jemena's annual submissions, to ensure JEN we meet its annual our Regulatory Information Notice reporting obligations, including leading and supporting the Regulation team's coordination and strategic and quality review of JEN's annual submissions.Lead and support the provision of ad-hoc compliance advice on regulatory issues as necessary.Support the compliance team in proactively communicating new and changing compliance obligations to the business. Implement strategies to gain the support of customers for key regulatory strategies.Apply a customer lens to regulatory strategy development.Support delivery of customer engagement activities in support of price review or other regulatory strategies or other regulated related work as necessary.About you: Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Commerce, Law, BusinessBroad but detailed knowledge of the current status and emerging trends of electricity and other utilities industries, including a working knowledge of the relevant state and national policies, the energy industry regulatory structure, energy markets, licences, codes and contracts.A breadth of regulatory knowledge spanning multiple utility sectors is desirable.A sound understanding of the economic, corporate finance, legal, and commercial principles that underpin utility markets and their regulation.
